FAQs

I don't know what treatment I need, what do I do?
Many of our patients are unsure on what treatment would be required to address their individual concerns. If you are unsure on what you feel you need or want, please do not worry and leave that to us. Please feel free to book a consultation and we will advise accordingly!
I am pregnant/breastfeeding, can I have any treatments?
We are unable to treat anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. There is not significant evidence to support the safety of toxin or dermal filler within pregnancy or lactation and it would be unethical to treat in this instance.
How can I prevent bruising and swelling?
Avoiding alcohol, aspirin and ibuprofen for 48 hours before any injectable procedure. Avoid strenuous exercise and caffeine on the morning of your appointment. You can also take arnica tablets purchased from any pharmacy or health store for 2 weeks pre procedure to minimise bleeding.
Are dermal fillers painful?
The dermal fillers we use contain lidocaine which is a local anaesthetic. The use of lidocaine with the facial filler injection eases the temporary discomfort and pain some patients feel when they receive facial filler injections. We also apply a topical numbing agent prior to injection to ensure optimal comfort for all patients.
How soon after dissolving can I have treatment?
We're able to carry out the chosen dermal filler treatment two weeks post dissolving, as long as all the previous filler has broken down and dissolved. If you feel as though you still have dermal filler in situ after dissolving, please get in touch as we would need to administer further hyalase before adding any more filler.
Do you have parking available?
We have free parking available on site at both our Cambridge and Peterborough clinics for patients.
